The POLYRACK TECH-GROUP is a specialist in the areas of electronic packaging, plastics technology and surface finishing. The competence of the manufacturer lies above all in developing modified as well as customer specific solutions on 19“ standard basis.

The Task

communicode’s responsibility with regard to this project was the implementation of a central Product Information Management system. The aim was to enable the corporation to publish product information within only a short space of time on the Internet as well as in a wide range of product catalogues and marketing documents. communicode was given the task to implement the entire technology as well as to develop the new website taking the corporate identity into account. 

The Implementation

The realisation of the project included the implementation of the website in three languages (German, English and French).  The new website gives clients the opportunity of informing themselves about products and to obtain additional information. The administration of all product information in a central PIM system also provides members of staff with great advantages: updates can be made within a very short period of time and published on the Internet or in the product catalogue.

The Details

The challenge for communicode was the implementation of the PIM System infuniq^® and the linkage of product information with its relevant web contents from the Open Text Management Server (Content Management System) associated with it. infuniq^® adds available other important product data, such as images, technical data and documents to the master data. Thereby the website of the Polyrack Tech-Group demonstrates the consequent implementation of the interaction between CMS and PIM system. Hence the highlight of the website is the product area of the client: the dynamic presentation of the products and the product information associated with it is shown on the right hand side of the page whilst statistical web contents are depicted on the left hand side.
