communicode creates multi-language electronic catalogue for Wilo

In their capacity as e-Business partner of the pump manufacturer Wilo, communicode will over the coming months assume the provision of an electronic catalogue in 26 languages. Within the Wilo “Product catalogue online” project, the Essen-based solution provider will be responsible for both conception and technical advice of the company. Significant parts of Wilo’s website are already controlled by the product asim^® InstantWeb; the control of country-specific product portfolios as well as product recommendations and a ProductFinder on attribute level shall now also be integrated into the existing system. communicode and their longstanding partner DHW Information Management from Waiblingen, who closely cooperate in this project, have jointly developed a solution based on asim^® InstantWeb, which is tailor-made to meet the company’s requirements.

In a first step, the electronic catalogue will be provided in English and German. During the course of the project, however, it is planned to add further languages. The challenge for communicode is not only its creation in several languages, but in particular the associated integration of local products for respective markets. Apart from that, customers should be able to access complete technical documentations of the manufacturer. Already at the start of the year, communicode was able to qualify for a project of the pump manufacturer Wilo, who - on the basis of a “DocumentFinder” wanted to provide their customers with an improved download area.
