communicode: DocumentFinder for pump manufacturer Wilo goes online

By using DocumentFinder, the pump manufacturer Wilo has set new standards for online documents archives and has as a result significantly improved the information service for Wilo customers. From now on, all visitors of the website www.wilo.de will have easy and speedy access to all technical and adverting product information. The “DocumentFinder” provides intuitively simple and fast research for product applications, product features and document types. With immediate effect, all documents can now be downloaded as a PDF file in all available languages or requested as a free print version.

The challenge communicode was confronted with, lay predominantly in the development of a research function, which is able to find documents only with the assistance of the respective product features, whereby PIM-System ASIM is serving as a data source. This system centrally stores all product documents, which are made available via a standard XML export. Another highlight of DocumentFinder is that all documents are available in several languages, independent of the selected country site. To achieve this, communicode implemented a language selection box, which enables switching to any of the existing languages directly on the website. Thus it is possible to find foreign-language documents in up to 26 languages via the German Wilo website.
