Corporate Design in grand style - Dosenbach website gets facelift
The new orientation of the Deichmann Group on the Internet now also rubs off on their Swiss subsidiary Dosenbach: their website will in future be equipped with a unified template basis to increase and to emphasise the recognition and affiliation effect of the company to Deichmann. Over the coming months, the websites of 17 country corporations as well as the main site of Europe’s major shoe retailer will be transformed. The templates have been developed by communicode, service provider for multichannel solutions and expert in the area of Content Managements, Product Information Management and Translation Memory systems. The Deichmann Group has been a longstanding client of communicode – a sign that competence and experience pay.
Using RedDot CMS 7.5 (now Open Text Management Server) makes it possible to edit contents directly on the website without the need of possessing programming skills. The product catalogue, which is also edited via the ERP system, is also linked to this application. All product information is transferred on to the website via an XML interface, making the search for certain articles much easier for the user: a shoe, as well as its availability in a branch can be determined via the search function. Dosenbach is thereby providing an expanded service, which sustainably increases customer loyalty. A new feature of the website is the so-called “Shoe ABC”, which will be available on all country sites in unified form. It provides the user with the opportunity of looking up unknown terms around the subject of shoes, apart from being supplied with a wide range of optimal shoe care tips.
Dosenbach, in association with Ochsner Shoes, MyShoes, Ochsner Sport and Sports Lab is part of Dosenbach-Ochsner AG, who is the Swiss market leaders in the sports and shoe industry. Dosenbach - analogue Deichmann - sees itself both as a generalist and a specialist of the branch: their range includes affordable brand-name shoes, which are oriented towards the broad public. This is not least credit to the affiliation to the Deichmann Group, who in 2008 sold about 127 million pairs of shoes worldwide.
