The "CeBit Charity Run" took place for the first time during one of the largest international trade fairs in Hannover: ca. 1,300 runners didn't want to miss out on this particular fun and managed the circular track across the trade fair grounds. The communicode team consisting of managing director Axel Helbig and sales representative Oliver Schischek, was also among the runners.  Oliver Schischek took a superb 13th place in the age group 35, whilst Axel Helbig came an excellent 35th in age group 40. communicode once more demonstrated that with regard to IT and athletic fitness one does not necessarily exclude the other.

The starting signal for the CeBit Charity Run was given on 6th March at 7 pm: the participants had the choice of running the 7 km long circular course once, twice or three times; experienced runners therefore had the chance of meeting the challenge of a semi-marathon.

Paying a start-money of Euro 20, the runners supported the project "Die Arche" as well as the Henry-Maske Foundation".  The start-moneys and additional donations by the companies helped to raise a total of Euro 60,000 Euro.

The aim of the project "Die Arche" is to help to ease child poverty in Germany; currently it engages in several help organisations in Munich, Berlin and Hamburg. The "Henry-Maske Foundation" supports deprived children and young people with sport, music and leisure projects as well as educational and socialization projects.
